‘Defendant’: Ji Sung Becomes Intrigued about the Accident
The latest episode of ‘Defendant’, which was aired on January 24th, showed Park Jeong Woo (Ji Sung) not being able to remember anything regarding the death of his wife and daughter. Four months before that, Park Jeong Woo was investigating the death of Cha Min Ho (Uhm Ki Joon). Park Jeong Woo suspected that the Cha Min Ho who had committed suicide was not actually Cha Min Ho, instead, it was Cha Seon Ho, Cha Min Ho’s identical brother. To erase any trace, Cha Min Ho killed the pathologist who suspected his existence. Cha Min Ho also realized Park Jeong Woo’s suspicion toward him.
Four months after the incident, Park Jeong Woo woke up in a prison upon a charge of killing his own wife and daughter. Kang Joon Hyuk met Park Jeong Woo in the prison and gave him the investigation files.
Kang Joon Hyuk said that the motive behind the murder of Jeong Woo’s family was written as ‘infidelity’. However, Park Jeong Woo, who could not remember anything, did not believe in the motive.
On the other hand, Kang Joon Hyuk was also showed investigating Park Jeong Woo’s case by checking the CCTV in the crime scene. It seemed as if Park Jeong Woo was framed by someone else. Unfortunately, the CCTV clearly showed Park Jeong Woo’s face, who looked suspicious with his black mask. Kang Joon Hyuk became even more intrigued in Park Jeong Wook’s involvement in the accident.
Was Park Jeong Woo framed by Cha Min Ho, or did he simply lose his own memory of the crime that he had committed?
