tvN is Considering Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran’s New Project, ‘Hwayugi’
The new work of Hong sisters (Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran) is being considered for airing by tvN, a cable TV channel.
On June 14th, tvN stated, “We’re considering airing Hong sisters’ new drama, ‘Hwayugi’ (tentative title).”
If the drama airs this year, ‘Hwayugi’ will be Hong sisters’ comeback after ‘The Master’s Sun’ 4 years ago.
‘Hwayugi’ is said to be a fantasy/romance drama about ‘journey to the west’. Hong sisters will work together with PD Park Hong Gyun, who previously directed ‘The Greatest Love’.
Meanwhile, Hong sisters’ name started to gain recognition for writing the scripts of ‘Sassy Girl Chun Hyang’ (2005), ‘Couple or Trouble’, ‘You’re Beautiful’, ‘The Greatest Love’, and ‘The Master’s Sun’.
