Descendants of the Sun is Song Joong Ki’s comeback to the drama world after returning from the military. The script is written by Kim Eun Sook, the same writer who wrote ‘Goblin’. The drama revolves around the love story of Yoo Si Jin, a captain of special force soldier, and Kang Mo Yeon, a doctor. Taking on the themes of military and humanism, the drama was a big success not only in Korea, but also in China.

The Innocent Man (2012)

The Innocent Man is a mellow drama starring Song Joong Ki, Moon Chae Won, and Park Si Yeon. The drama tells the story of Kang Ma Roo, who’s betrayed by the woman he loves, Han Jae Hee (Park Si Yeon), and plans to make a revenge by using other woman, Seo Eun Gi (Moon Chae Won).

Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010)

Sungkyukwan Scandal is a drama set in Joseon Dynasty, starring Park Yoo Chun, Park Min Young, Yoo Ah In, and Song Joong Ki. In this drama, Song Joong Ki plays as Ku Yong Ha, a flower boy who’s loved by many girls. Through this drama, Song Joong Ki managed to achieve Best Couple Award with Yoo Ah In.
