‘Battleship Island’ Is Sold in 15 Countries Including Europe and North America
The film ‘Battleship Island’ turned out to be not only attracting attention in Korea, but it is also attracting the interest of some other countries.
According to the movie distributor ‘CJ Entertainment’, the movie ‘Battleship Island’ will air on August 4th in America, which is the first foreign country to release the film.
Some other countries that have been confirmed will release ‘Battleship Island’ in August are Canada, France, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hongkong, and Indonesia. While in Philippine, it is scheduled to be released in September.
Many overseas distributors are hoping ‘Battleship Island’ will be a mega hit in the world of cinema in Korea this year. Distributors say that ‘Battleship Island’ can be said to be a masterpiece that can compete with Hollywood movies that will air this summer.
Previously, the 3 minutes ‘Battleship Island’ movie trailer was aired on Europian Film Market in February and the promotional video has been sold in 113 countries to date.
Meanwhile, the film ‘Battleship Island’ tells the story of the Korean people’s rebellion during the Japanese colonial period. The film will air on July 26th in Korea.
