Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo announced their wedding date on July 5th, but have not released any info regarding the venue.
Meanwhile, the town of Taebaek in Gangwon province attracted public interest by offering an unusual proposal ahead of ‘SongSong Couple’ wedding.
Representatives of Taebaek visited Song Joong Ki’s agency on July 17th, saying that they wanted the couple to hold a wedding ceremony in the ‘Descendants of the Sun’ garden, which is located in their city.
Taebaek City is said to have promised a wide range of support, such as wedding ceremonies, outdoor wedding facility installations, honeymoon, etc. if the couple agrees that the wedding ceremony is going to be held at the ‘Descendants of the Sun’ Park in Tongdong, 31 October.
The park that is mentioned is a ‘Descendants of the Sun’ memorial park located in Tongri village, Taebaek, built on a 2,000-square-meter scale.
There are several statues of ‘Songsong Couple’, a statue of Song Joong Ki who acted as captain Yoo Si Jin, also a cathedral that is restored as the background of Urk state at the time.
