‘Defendant’: The Reversed Reality
In the latest episode of ‘Defendant’, Park Jeong Woo (Ji Sung) is shown in court, facing the first stage of appeal in trial.
Park Jeong Woo asked Shin Cheol Sik, who sat in the other room, about what he wrote. At first Shin Cheol Sik only complained that because of Park Jeong Woo, he was thrown into prison unfairly. But then Shin Cheol Sik gave some hints to Jeong Woo.
Cha Min Ho, who killed and pretended to be his brother, Cha Seon Woo, had to play fencing in front of their father. While he was using his brother’s fencing sword, Cha Min Ho had an impaired vision in his left eye. Cha Min Ho ignored it and kept practicing so his father would not notice.
But then, a man appeared and put a birth certificate, which could prove that Cha Min Ho was masquerading as Cha Seon Woo, on top of Min Ho’s table. Min Ho tried to chase the man but he failed.
Meanwhile, Seo Eun Hye (Kwon Yuri) increasingly wondered whether Park Jeong Woo actually lost his memory or not, and kept urging him to accept her help. With brimming tears, Park Jeong Woo finally accepted Seon Eun Hye’s offer.
Next, Park Jeong Woo remembered the sound of a bell that he heard on the day of the event. He said, “Someone came that night,” while recalling it. Park Jeong Woo met Kang Joon Hyuk and told him about what he remembered. Kang Joon Hyuk said that he would investigate it directly because it was not written in the note.
However, what actually happened was the opposite. On the day of the event, Ji Soo (Son Yeo Eun), who was at home, heard a bell and opened the door. On the other side of the door was Kang Joon Hyuk.
The unexpected revelation about Kang Joon Hyuk’s involvement undoubtedly increases viewers’ curiosity about the next episode.
