Upcoming Projects of ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ Actors, Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In
Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In are known to be quite close with each other. They starred together in KBS drama ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ several years ago. Now, both actors are considered few of the many top stars in South Korean entertainment industry. This year, they are going to make a comeback in works that have one big similarity: Both are set during the Japanese Colonial Period.
First, Song Joong Ki, who previously starred in ‘Descendants of the Sun’ as a soldier, will make a comeback in Chungmuro (Korean movie industry) through the movie ‘Battleship Island’. Song Joong Ki’s role is an independence force during the Japanese Colonial Period. The film itself is about Korean forced labors who risk their lives in order to escape from Hashima Island, Japan.
In another note, Yoo Ah In will also make a comeback in the glass screen throgh tvN’s upcoming drama, ‘Chicago Typewriter’. This drama is set in 1930 and will focus on the story of Se Joo (Yoo Ah In), an author who has a ghost-writer named Jin O. Jeon Seol (Im Soo Jung), a woman who was initially his fan, changed into an anti-fan after knowing this fact. ‘Chicago Typewriter’ is going to be a fantasy romance drama.
