Is ‘Radiant Office’ Following the Step of ‘Shopping King Louie’?

Drama ‘Radiant Office’ started off with 3,8% rating for its first episode, which was aired on March 15. However, the drama, focusing on the life of a ‘contract employee’, is getting more and more positive responses from Korean audience due to its realistic plot and characters.

According to a CPI (Content Power Index) data released by CJ E&M and Nielsen Korea, the first place for Monday-Tuesday drama is occupied by SBS ‘Defendant’, for Wednesday-Thursday drama it’s ‘Chief Kim’. Meanwhile, ‘Infinity Challenge’ ranked first as the most favorite Korean TV show.

Starting from the 4th episode, ‘Radiant Office’ showed an improvement in its rating with 5,2% viewers rating. The drama is the only drama that had a rating increase among other Wednesday – Thursday drama.

This improvement reminds us of ‘Shopping King Louie’, another MBC’s drama that was aired last year. Despite not starting off with a fantastic number, ‘Shopping King Louie’ kept increasing its rating, gaining public’s favor with its consistent plot and characters. ‘Shopping King Louie’ then managd to seize place first with its 11th episode, surpassing ‘Jealousy Incarnate’.

The drama itself revolves around the life of Eun Ha Won, a contract employee who wants to change her life’s direction after knowing that she only had 6 months left to live. Starring Go Ah Sung, Ha Suk Jin, Lee Dong Hwi, Kim Dong Wook, and Lee Ho Won, ‘Radiant Office’ airs every Wednesday – Thursday at 10 PM KST.
