Could ‘Chicago Typewriter’ Save tvN’s Reputation?
The first episode of ‘Chicago Typewriter’ was aired last night. This fantasy/romantic-comedy drama focuses on three main characters who lived in 1930 but then reincarnated into present time: A best seller author Han Se Joo (Yoo Ah In), ghostwriter Yoo Jin O (Go Kyung Po), and antifan Jeon Seol (Im Soo Jung).
A lot of viewers have high expectation toward ‘Chicago Typewriter’, as it is writer Jin Soo Wan’s comeback drama after two years. Previously, she had succeeded with ‘Scandal in Old Seoul’, ‘The Moon Embracing The Sun’, and ‘Kill Me, Heal Me’.
In this drama, the three main characters will be in love in a strange love triangle. Yoo Ah In is a well-known actor who previously starred in various popular works, such as ‘Veteran’ and ‘The Throne’ in 2015, also SBS’ drama ‘Six Flying Dragons’. Im Soo Jung will also make her drama comeback in ‘Chicago Typewriter’ after 13 years hiatus; her latest drama was KBS ‘Sorry, I Love You’. In addition, Go Kyung Po has also succeeded with his dramas ‘Reply 1988’ (tvN) and ‘Jealousy Incarnate’ (SBS).
Could ‘Chicago Typewriter’ save tvN’s reputation after its prior Friday – Saturday drama ‘Tomorrow With You’ flopped in terms of rating? (Despite being supported by famous producer and actors, the average rating for TWY was only 1%). Let’s see the result!
