Kim Woo Bin is Diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Cancer
Actor Kim Woo-bin has recently been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, a rare case of head and neck cancer.
Kim Woo-Bin’s agency, Sidus HQ, relayed the news through an official statement. “We’re announcing this news with a heavy heart. Kim Woo-bin, who recently visited a hospital after feeling some abnormal symptoms in his body, has been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. Fortunately, the illness is discovered when it’s still at an early stage, so we could immediately start treating it with medication and radiation therapy. We will focus on Kim Woo Bin’s treatment first and foremost. We look forward for him to be healthy again, so please pray for his quick recovery.”
In the meantime, the actor and his agency are arranging some changes to his schedule. “We wish you could show your continuing support for Kim Woo Bin.”
Kim Woo Bin showed an impressive performance in last year’s KBS2 drama ‘Uncontrollably Fond’ and the movie ‘Master’. He’s also originally scheduled to film a movie called ‘Wiretap’, directed by Choi Dong Hoon, in the second half of this year.
