Gong Yoo Ultimately Chooses to Love Kim Go Eun in “Goblin”
In the episode of “Goblin” that was broadcasted on December 23rd, Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) sees the sword embedded in the body of Kim Shin (Gong Yoo).
Kim Shin tries to end his immortality with the help of Eun Tak, but Eun Tak fails to pull out the sword from Kim Shin.
She still fails to do so after kissing Kim Shin, and says quietly, “This might be what a real love is.” Kim Shin thinks that there might be something wrong because he did not see himself in the future of Eun Tak’s life.
When Eun Tak’s old crush appears, Kim Shin gets in the way of Eun Tak, bothering her at a serious level. Kim Shin hugs Eun Tak, disabling her from leaving him. That is when he feels the pain of the sword embedded in him.
After seeing the sword in the body of Kim Shin, Eun Tak tries to pull away the sword from him. However, Kim Shin pushes away Eun Tak by mistake. He saves Eun Tak despite the dangers of a car accident.
Kim Shin says that, “The future that I saw was correct. You are the one who can stop my endless life. But a human’s life span is only 100 years. Am I trying to recall my past or look back at your face? I think the answer is your face.” By saying this, Kim Shin admits his love for Ji Eun Tak.
