Actor Lee Jong Suk to Join the Military Soon

Lately, a lot of Korean actors have finished their mandatory military service.

On July 21st, Lee Jong Suk received a military registration letter from the Military Labor Administration. Lee Jong Suk was offered a role in the movie ‘Witch’ by director Park Hoon Jung, but decided to decline it because of his compulsory military service.

This year, a lot of Korean actors joined the military service. On May 16, actor Joo Won joined the military after completing the filming of SBS’s ‘My Sassy Girl’ drama. Since the drama premiered on May 29th, Joo Woon was unable to watch the first episode since he has joined the military camp.

Following Joo Woon, actor Im Siwan entered a training camp in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province on July 11th. Just like Joo Won, Im Siwan cannot see the first airing of MBC drama ‘King Loves’ which starred him since he has joined the military training camp.

Actor Ji Chang Wook will also soon join the military. He is scheduled to attend military service on August 14, but before joining, he filmed KBS ‘Yu Huiyeol’s Sketchbook’ and communicate with his fans.

In addition to Ji Chang Wook, actor Kang Ha Neul will take hiatus from the entertainment industry to follow the military service. Initially, Kang Ha Neul was scheduled to play in OCN ‘Bag Guys 2’ drama, but he resigned as he is going to enlist in the military service. Kang Ha Neul is scheduled to attend military service on September 11, 2017.

The actors starting from Joo Won to Lee Jong Suk, have joined and will join the military service. Although there are some issues that concern some TV stations, as Korean people they deserve to be praised for following the mandatory military service.
