Song Joong Ki Admits His Nervousness Upon Releasing the News of His Marriage Plan with Song Hye Kyo
Ahead of the release of the film ‘Battleship Island’, Song Joong Ki explains the reason for his marriage announcement with Song Hye Kyo.
Through an interview about ‘Battleship Island’ on July 24, Song Joong Ki talked about the wedding announcement with Song Hye Kyo, “I think it’s better if I announce it after the movie is released”.
“But that’s not what’s in my heart. I asked Song Hye Kyo to announce it first. I feel guilty for making it all focus on me before the movie is released”, said Song Joong Ki.
Song Joong Ki said, “Marriage, as it is said by parents, is important. There are many times when we are very nervous about the news that has nothing to do with us. So let’s tell it, and then it happens. That day, Hye Kyo was also nervous”.

“I cannot announce the marriage plan. I think there’s something more important than that (the movie release). The biggest thing at the moment is, Song Hye Kyo will get married. She is a good person and we will be together forever. I did not think to get married a bit later. I’m pondering on a lot of things”, Song Joong Ki said.
Song Joong Ki talked about the response of the people around him after the wedding announcement, “Lee Gwang Su came to my house and asked ‘you will get married?’ then we drank alcohol together. Some didn’t believe it, some didn’t even expect it”.
