The buckwheat field appeared again in the episode of “Goblin” which was broadcasted on December 17th. Kim Shin takes the ‘goblin bride’, Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun), to pull out his sword.

The buckwheat in the field is always blossomed, and it is the flower that Kim Shin previously gives to Eun Tak as a bouquet. This scene implied that the two might eventually become lovers.

The buckwheat farm of “Goblin” is an existing farm. The scene was shot on September, at Go Chang, Jeollabuk-do. Before the production team left for the shooting in Canada, they visited the buckwheat farm in Go Chang to see the flowers blossom.

The production team of “Goblin” said that, “The kiss scene in the sixth episode was taken during the early part of the shooting. Since the buckwheat’s blossoming period is very limited, we had to hurry for the shooting of the scene. The involvement of computer graphics was very less, and most of the settings in the background was based on the actual buckwheat farm of Go Chang.”

The snow falling down in the background was also told to be real. Instead of making use of computer graphics, the production team used artificial snow to make the scene look more natural.
