Kang Haneul Reveals His Excitedness Upon Entering the Military in MBC ‘Radio Star’
On August 2, MBC’s Variety Show program ‘Radio Star’ presented a segment called ‘Hot Brothers! Please Help Radio Star’.
In that episode, actor Kang Ha Neul, actor Dong Ha who was known through ‘Chief Kim’ and ‘Suspicious Partner’, Min Kyung Ho, god of karaoke, and singer Jung Yong Hwa were present as guest stars.
On that occasion, Kang Haneul talked about his upcoming military service in September, in which he’ll serve as a military police. Explaining why he’s excited to do his service, Kang Ha Neul mentioned JSA film director Park Chan Wook as his inspiration. “When I was a kid, I watched the movie (JSA), and I asked my father, ‘Why is the soldier wearing glasses?’ My father replied, ‘They stand in the front line to protect this country.’ Since then I’ve always thought, it must be fun to go on a military service,”
As his new movie, ‘Midnight Runners’, is going to be released soon, Kang Haneul also talked about a story that his co-star, Park Seo Joon, ever talked about him. Kang Haneul admitted that he could remember the names of about 60 staffs from the ‘Midnight Runners’ production team. Asked about his favorite activity during summer, the actor answered, “There’s nothing good to do in summer other than eating ice cream.”
