A Look Back at ‘Goblin’ Episode 2-1 “Eun Tak’s Hard Life”
The episode two of ‘Goblin’ was opened by the scene of Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) and Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) who were in Canada.
The two were walking in a garden that was full of maple leaves. As they walked, Eun Tak couldn’t stop herself from talking about many things while Kim Shin just showed his uninterested look.
Meanwhile, the grim reaper (Lee Dong Wook) met his junior and talked about the ‘Missing soul’.
In the next scene, it was shown that Kim Shin visited the grave of his closest relatives, which was no other than the Yoo family who had been serving him for years and through generation to generation.
Ji Eun Tak came afterward and found a grave with Kim Shin’s picture on it.
The next day, Kim Shin wanted to have a talk with the grim reaper somewhere. However, when he opened the door, Kim Shin teleported to somewhere else and made the grim reaper flustered because he couldn’t follow him, unlike Eun Tak.
In another place, Ji Eun Tak met the goddess of birth (Lee El) who gave her a bag of spinach and told her to go home.
When she was back, she got scolded by her aunt. This made Eun Tak run away from her house.
Kim Shin got worried while thinking about Ji Eun Tak. He then went to look for her. Ji Eun Tak who was walking around while waiting for her aunt to fall asleep then met Kim Shin. Kim Shin made an excuse that Eun Tak summoned him even though she did not.
The next day, Eun Tak found a restaurant that was looking for a part-time worker. The restaurant was owned by Sunny (Yoo In Na) and she accepted Eun Tak to work in her restaurant.
Eun Tak who was in joy after getting a job then summoned Kim Shin. Kim Shin who was having his dinner looked mad at Eun Tak. He then went back to his house while grumbling something which made the grim reaper thought that he had gone crazy.
