Casting War for ‘The Bride of Habaek’, Will tvN Hit Another Success with this Drama?
Actor Nam Joo Hyun and Shin Se Kyung are reported to have been offered to play in ‘The Bride of Habaek’, tvN’s upcoming drama that is adapted from a manhwa.
‘The Bride of Habaek’ tells the story of a virgin who is sacrificed to be the bride of The Water God for the sake of her people. During the day, Habaek is a mere child, but at night, he changes into a male adult. The character of Habaek is funny and full of adorableness. The genre of the original manhwa is fantasy, but its characters live in modern time Seoul. However, the production team plans to change the genre of the drama to a fantasy rom-com with new setting.
At the moment, ‘The Bride of Habaek’ is in the middle of casting process. The main character, Habaek, is going to portrayed by Nam Joo Hyuk, while his bride is going to be portrayed by Shin Se Kyung. Krystal is also reported to have been offered the role of Mura. However, until this news is written, nothing has been confirmed yet.
