Yoona in ‘The King Loves’: “I Don’t Want to Look Pretty.”
Singer and actress Im Yoona recently shared her feeling about her first role in historical drama.
Yoona, who’s going to play a brave Goryeo woman named Eun Sa in MBC’s upcoming mini series ‘King Loves’, explained, “Eun Sa is the most comfortable character that I have ever played. As Eun Sa, I behaved like a man. I fought a lot to be strong,”
“As an actor, I don’t need to try to look pretty. When I’m standing on stage as member of Girls’ Generation, I might pay attention to my appearance. However, when acting, I want to show a different side of Yoona. I think it’s the effect of shooting ‘The K2’ last year.”
‘King Loves’, which is adapted from a novel with the same title, is a historical mellow fiction drama. The drama revolves around the story of crown princes Wang Won (Im Siwan) and Wang Rin (Hong Jong Hyun), whose friendship waver when they meet San/Eun Sa (Yoona). This pre-produced drama is set to air next July.
