Drama Special: A Look Back at Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae’s ‘Hotel King’

‘Hotel King’ was aired by MBC in on 2014 with 32 episodes in total, starring the ‘Grim Reaper’, Lee Dong Wook, and other veteran actors such as Lee Da Hae, Im Seol Ong, and Lee Deok Hwa.

In ‘Hotel King’, Lee Dong Wook is Cha Jae Wan, a coolheaded general manager of Ciel Hotel who tried to forget his harsh childhood, in which he was abandoned by his dad. Meanwhile, Lee Dae Hee is Ah Mo Ne, the only heir of Ciel Hotel. Before ‘Hotel King’, Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae once worked together in another drama called ‘My Girl’.

The story of ‘Hotel King’ starts with a beggar kid named Jayden (Lee Dong Wook) who worked in the streets of America. One day, Jayden accidentally killed his own boss and met someone named Lee Joong Go. Then Jayden found out his identity as the successor of Ciel Hotel. He also knew that his own father had abandoned him. Jayden then swore to have a avenge his mother and his ownself.

Twenty years had passed. Jayden had changed his name to Cha Jae Wan and managed to be the general manager of Ciel Hotel. On another side, there was Ah Mo Ne, the official heir of Ciel Hotel. At first, Cha Jae Wan and Ah Mo Ne hated each other, but then they started to fall in love.
