‘Whisper’ A Tragic Future Awaits Lee Bo Young

SBS Mon-Tue drama, ‘Whisper’ episode 6 (11/4) showed Shin Young Joo (Lee Bo Young)’s struggle to save her father, Shin Chang Ho.

Her revenge was not easy and it also made the audience to feel disappointed. Shin Young Joo’s father was put in prison because Kang Jung Il and Choi Soo Yeon reported Shin Young Joo’s father as a murderer because he tried to reveal the corruption which they did. Shin Young Joo’s father was then imprisoned and received injustice because of this.

Shin Young Joo asked for Lee Dong Joon (lee Sang Yoon)’s help to get her father out of the prison, however, Lee Dong Joon submitted to Taebaek and betrayed Shin Young Joo. Afterward, Shin Young Joo intentionally spent a night with Lee Dong Joon and used it to threaten him. She had no other choice than that.

However, her path to get a revenge was not easy. Lee Dong Joon’s steps always got blocked by Taebaek so they couldn’t work together. But Shin Young Joo still saved him when he was in crisis.

Shin Young Joo kept on fighting to get an evidence. She put a hidden camera in Choi Soo Yeon’s workroom and found the location of the secret documents which contained their corruption data.

But once again, she was faced with a problem. Shin Young Joo needed to burn the documents for her father to get released.

Shin Young Joo burned the documents with her own hands while crying. Her misery didn’t stop there. The cancer in Shin Young Joo’s father body had spread throughout his body. Shin Chang Ho now only had 6 months to live. Lee Dong Joon who already knew it first said to Shin Young Joo, “Sorry”, while hugging her.

Shin Young Joo’s future already looks tragic. The father whom she tried to save from the prison wouldn’t live for more than 6 months. The audience who can already see this tragic ending feels even sadder.
