‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’ and ‘Suspicious Partner’ Will Begin Competing Tomorrow!

Just like the warm month of May, two new dramas are going to ‘warm’ Korean television screen.

MBC’s ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’, a historical drama, and SBS’ ‘Suspicious Partner’, a romantic-comedy drama, will start competing in Wed-Thurs’ slot starting from tomorrow, May 10th, at 10 PM KST.

‘Ruler’, which is replacing ‘Radiant Office’, is a historical drama set in 1700 Joseon about a Crown Prince (Yoo Seung Ho) who’s fighting an illegal organization which wants to dominate people’s water supply.

In ‘Ruler’, Kim So Hyun is playing as Lee Ga Eun, the girl whom the Crown Prince falls in love with. At first, Lee Ga Eun’s intention was to avenge his father.

The love story between the Crown Prince and Lee Ga Eun will be the drama’s other main point. Other than Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun, ‘Ruler’ is starred by Yoon So Hee, L, Heo Jun Ho, and Park Chul Min.

‘Suspicious Partner’, which is replacing ‘Saimdang, Light’s Diary’, is a romantic-comedy drama revolving around a genius and sexy attorney No Ji Wook (Ji Chang Wook) and law intern Eun Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun), added by mysterious incidents.

No Ji Wook becomes an attorney to fulfill his father’s wish, while Bong Hee is a law intern who’s an expert in taekwondo. The two main casts, Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun, previously worked together in SBS’ ‘Warrior Baek Dong Soo’ (2011).

The chemistry between the main leads is very important in a romantic-comedy drama. “I also cannot wait for it. Though it’s only for a drama, we will work hard to give our best chemistry,” said Ji Chang Wook. Nam Ji Hyun also added with, “I already feel comfortable working with Ji Chang Wook oppa, so don’t worry [about our chemistry].”
