‘Ruler’: Huge Tragedy Strikes the Palace and the King of Joseon
Through the latest episode of MBC’s drama ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’, Yoo Seung Ho made its audience shed so many tears. In this episode, Prince Seon (Yoo Seung Ho) cried because he felt guilty for not being able to prevent the beheading of Han Kyu Ho, Han Ga Eun’s father.
In fact, it was not the Prince Sun who ordered the beheading of Han Kyu Ho. On the other side, Lee Seon (Kim Myung Soo) asked to replace Prince Sun as the crown prince. The Crown Prince then began to teach Lee Seon how to talk and walk like a royal descendant.
Prince Sun also seek Daemok, the chairman of Pyeon Soo Hwe’s organization (Heo Joon Ho) to declare war. At that time, Han Ga Eun (Kim So Hyun) found a letter written by Crown Prince which appointed Han Kyu Ho to lead an investigation of Pyunsohee’s water way. This evidence made Han Ga Eun angry.
“I will kill the Crown Prince!” said Ga Eun. She went to the Palace with the intention to kill Prince Sun, but then ended up imprisoned in downtown. After Prince Sun found out that Ga Eun was jailed, he went to the prison. But Han Ga Eun was already released.
At the same time, the King has sent Lee Sun to replace Prince Sun to attend Pyunsohee’s initiation ceremony. Lee Sun felt sick after drinking the poppy liquid given by Daemok. He declared himself, saying “I am Lee Seon, the Crown Prince of Joseon!”. However, Daemok still found out about the King’s strategy. Daemok and his army came to the palace, and angrily, Daemok told the King “You put a fake Prince and put a mask on him?! Pull your sword out!” He challenged the King.
At that moment, Prince Sun came back to find the palace in chaos. After Daemok realized that he was the real Crown Prince, he said, “That’s the real Crown Prince. Seize him!” Wanting to save the Crown Prince, the King ended up getting stabbed by Daemok’s sword and died. Prince Sun, who could only witness the death, shouted hoarsely with tears running down his face.
