Song Joong Ki Admits to Not Knowing the History of ‘Battleship Island’ Prior to Filming
Actor Song Joong Ki admitted that he had learned many things before starting the filming process of ‘Battleship Island’.
On June 14th, ‘Battleship Island’ held a conference press in National Museum Theater of Korea, Yongsan-Gu, Seoul.
Directoe Ryu Seung Wan, as well as actors Hwang Jung Min, So Ji Seob, Song Joong Ki, Lee Jung Hyun, and Kim Soon An were present at the press conference.
During the event, Song Joong Ki said, “I honestly did not know much about the real history of Battleship Island before. All these times, I only knew about it from ‘Infinity Challenge’.”
“So I decided to learn about it before doing shooting so I wouldn’t feel embarrassed for not knowing anything.” He also added, “During the shooting, I felt some kind of pressure,”
‘Battleship Island’ tells of the fight done by Koreans who wanted to rebel during the Japanese colonialism period. This movie is going to be released this July.
