Will ‘Save Me’ be able to Revive OCN’s Reputation after the Failure of ‘Duel’?
Will OCN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama, ‘Save Me’, revive OCN’s reputation?
‘Save Me’ will premiere on August 5. Its predecessor, ‘Duel’, was a highly anticipated thriller drama as presenting a narrative about human clones.
However, seems like the anticipation toward ‘Duel’ was high simply due to the success of the previous drama. As there have been so many thrillers presented by OCN since the beginning of this year, ‘Duel’ had already lost its moment. The drama ended with only 1% rating.
However, the audience can not wait for ‘Duel’s successor, ‘Save Me’, that is adapted from a webtoon. With a compelling material and solid development, OCN believes that ‘Save Me’ will definitely attract a lot of viewers.
‘Save Me’ is adapted from a webtoon called ‘Out of the World’, which describes the struggles of someone who is fighting against false religious groups to salvage her first love. Ok Taecyeon will play as Han Sang Wan, who fights for her first love, Seo Ye Ji.
Recently, webtoon-based drama series has been on the rise, but ‘Save Me’ promises to bring freshness with its pseudo-religious background. While genres such as investigation or chase are so dominant right now, this mystery thriller drama seems to be able to produce a special distinction among them.
