‘1 Hour Away from The Downtown’ City Center Ski Area Has Reopened

Ski area in the city center one by one reopened. Indeed a bit smaller than the ski area, they offer access to the city center or metropolitan area with an hour-long travel distance.

Icheon Jisan Forest Resort opened on the 24th, skiers in Seoul can go to here for the least travel time.

To commemorate the opening of the 2017/2018 season, from the date of 24 Jisan Resort offers a 50% discount on lift tickets and equipment rental for all visitors until the end of the event (to be further info).

Eland Bears Town Ski Resort in Pocheon also opened on the same day. Bears Town opened on the 24th and the slopes will open on the 25th. It’s two days earlier than last year.

A total of 10 slope areas opened in sequence and 5 of them have been internationally recognized. For beginners skiers the area is called ‘Little Bear’ and for the middle class is called ‘Big Bear’, and so forth.

On December 16th the entire ski area can be used. The 400-meter Kokomoon Snow Sled Course has also been upgraded.

Elysian Gangcheon in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province also opened three slope areas for beginners on the 24th. Dragon slope has been renovated and operated so novice skiers can use it easily. Ski slopes are open from 9 am to 5 pm. Starting on the 1st of next month, the ski area open until 11.30pm.

Konjiam Resort is the largest ski area in urban areas. This area has 9 wide slopes and with a maximum length of 154 meters is equipped with a super fast elevator that can drive 15,000 people per hour with a speed of 5 meters per second.
