A Look Back at ‘Goblin’ Episode 2-2 “Kim Shin and Grim Reaper Rescue Ji Eun Tak from Danger”
Continuing from part 1, the scene was followed by a shot in Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) and Grim Reaper (Lee Dong Wook)’s house.
The Grim Reaper who was sleeping suddenly got disturbed by Kim Shin. Kim Shin asked Grim Reaper about his clothes, but according to Grim Reaper they were all the same.
Kim Shin said it seemed like Ji Eun Tak would call him often, but Grim Reaper did not understand who Ji Eun Tak was.
Though Grim Reaper showed his indifferent expression toward Kim Shin, Kim Shin kept disturbing him. On the next day, Grim Reaper woke up wearing a sleeping hat for women and a flower patterned pink blanket. Kim Shin had pranked the Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper vowed to get his revenge.
In the next scene, Deok Hwa came to Kim Shin and said that he knew the fact that his uncle is a Goblin. Kim Shin was surprised, but it turned out that Deok Hwa had known about this since he was a kid.
That day, Eun Tak started working in a chicken restaurant. Eun Tak admired Sunny, who was so kind toward her.
In the same day, Sunny went to see a Shaman. The Shaman said Sunny was not lucky in the family department and warned her to be careful of a man with a black hat.
At night, Ji Eun Tak summoned Kim Shin to give him a present, but instead, he met the Grim Reaper. Eun Tak started to panic because the Grim Reaper had been looking for her for 10 years. At that moment, Kim Shin appeared. Kim Shin and Grim Reaper talked through their minds, and Kim Shin warned Grim Reaper not to disturb Eun Tak.
Then, Kim Shin admitted that he was a Goblin. It made Eun Tak sad because Kim Shin previously denied it. Eun Tak assumed that Kim Shin did not like her because she was not pretty. Annoyed, Eun Tak meant to leave Kim Shin, but when Eun Tak looked back, it turned out that Kim Shin had disappeared.
At home, Grim Reaper asked about Goblin’s bride, which means the death of Goblin. Kim Shin said that he would not die because Eun Tak could not see the sword in Kim Shin’s chest.
Several days later, Kim Shin and Grim Reaper accidentally met in Eun Tak’s house. Apparently, Eun Tak was not at home. Kim Shin then looked for her.
Meanhwile, it turned out that Eun Tak’s Aunt was in debts. The moneylenders came to her, but Eun Tak’s Aunt quibbled by saying that she could pay her debts only if she could find Eun Tak’s check book, which according to her, is hidden by Eun Tak. The moneylenders then came at Eun Tak and kidnapped her.
In another place, Kim Shin and Grim Reaper were having dinner and bickering about something unimportant. At that moment, Eun Tak was terrified and crying inside the moneylender’s car because they forced her to give them her check book. Suddenly, the birth sign in Eun Tak’s neck went aflame. After that, the car suddenly stopped and every single lamp in the street went off. From afar, Kim Shin and Grim Reaper, who were in all black, could be seen walking toward the car.
