Jo In Sung, Hyun Bin, and Ji Chang Wook: Box Office Penetrators
The first place for box office is filled with a movie from a flower boy actor, Ji Chang Wook! On February 9, only a few days after it was released, ‘Fabricated City’ scored first place in box office.
Through his drama ‘Healer’ and ‘The K2’, Ji Chang Wook joined other actors as one of the Hallyu stars. Through ‘Fabricated City’, Ji Chang Wook proves not only his ability to act in dramas and movies, but also his influence as an actor.
Previously, the first place title for box office was held by ‘Cooperation’, a film starred by Hyun Bin. ‘Fabricated City’ initially sat on the second position when ‘Cooperation’ had accumulated 682 thousand viewers.
Actor Hyun Bin is of course the biggest attraction in ‘Cooperation’. Hyun Bin rose to fame due to his 2011 drama ‘Secret Garden’, however, his next dramas (‘The Fatal Encounter’ and ‘Hyde Jekyll Me’) flopped. Through this movie, Hyun Bin wants to prove that he could shine again.
Before ‘The Cooperation’, there was ‘The King’. Released on the same day as ‘Cooperation’, ‘The King’ overcame ‘Cooperation’ and sat on the first place of box office for 8 days. ‘The King’ is Jo In Sung’s new movie after 9 years, when he created quite a controversy with his ‘Frozen Flowers’. In ‘The King’, Jo In Sung plays the role of Park Tae Soo, a character who has difficult childhood. Park Tae Soo then meets South Korean most influential figure, Han Kang Sik (Jung Woo Suk), and they teamed up to work together.
