‘Hwarang’: Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Sik Point Swords at Each Other

In the 19th episode of ‘Hwarang’ (20/2), Sam Maek Jong, who finally knows that Moo Myung is of ‘pure bone’ descent (thus might be a threat on Maek Jong’s effort to claim the throne), calls Moo Myung and the two of them point their swords at each other.

Previously, A Ro was shot by an arrow and fainted in order to protect Moo Myung/Seon Woo. Though A Ro manages to pass the critical situation after being treated by An Ji Gong, Moo Myung keeps worrying that A Ro is going to be in constant danger because of him.

Moo Myung, who knows that he’s a ‘pure bone’, goes to his father, Hwi Kyung Kong. Kyung Kong tells Moo Myung that Moo Myung is stronger and possess more understanding about his people, thus Kyung Kong wants to make Moo Myung the King.

On the other hand, Sam Maek Jong appears in the royal officials meeting unannounced, then suddenly declares himself as King. The Queen and Park Young Sil, who are there, are highly surprised to see him behaving like that. After announcing himself as King, Sam Maek Jong starts his own administration. Later, Park Young Sil comes to Maek Jong privately and provokes him by sitting in the King’s throne.

Though he’s the King, Sam Maek Jong does not yet have the power to punish Park Young Sil. Park Young Sil then opposes Sam Maek Jong and chooses Moo Myung as King, and then Young Sil goes to meet Hwi Kyung Kong to flatter him. Moo Myung, however, strongly declines Park Young Sil, causing Young Sil to be in a difficult situation.

Meanwhile, A Ro is finally awake and able to see Moo Myung again. Moo Myung tells A Ro that he has finally known the truth about his real identity. With trusting expression, A Ro supports Moo Myung.

The Queen then reveals the truth that Moo Myung is a ‘pure bone’ descent to Maek Jong, who is very surprised to hear that. Sam Maek Jong then orders a call for Moo Myung. The rivalry between these two people becomes even worse that they point their swords at each other.
