BTS Makes New History in Billboard Chart ‘Bubbling Under Hot 100’
Idol group BTS sets a new record by sitting on the 15th position of Billboard ‘Bubbling Under Hot 100’ Chart, marking a new history for K-POP groups.
On February 21, Billboard wrote an article titled ‘BTS Cracks the Bubbling Under Hot 100 with ‘Spring Day’, Conquers Multiple Charts with ‘You Never Walk Alone”. The article also wrote that “BTS’ achievement is the biggest achievement for a K-POP group,”.
Billboard also went to explain that “‘Bubbling Under Hot 100’ is filled with best songs that are not included in the top 25. Just like ‘Hot 100’, the songs in this chart are determined by sales, radio airplay, and streaming,”.
Moreover, Billboard wrote, “The single, ‘Spring Day’, is mostly writen in Korea. It is not even promoted in USA. The song was released during the week of ‘Grammy Award 2017′, and unlike other songs, which would have stayed only for a few moments, the single actually stayed for a long time and set a new record,” Explaining how BTS’ ‘Single Day’ is special.
“BTS’ existence could be a great chance for the development of K-POP. Other Korean artists are also starting to get more recognition and success in USA.” Billboard then ended the article by saying, “When their songs enter the chart, you’ll be able to see BTS’ strength.”
Billboard’s chart in which BTS’ singles are included will be updated in a few days. We’ll see how ‘Spring Day’ fares!
