Lee Min Ho and Joo Won are Starting Their Military Service in May
Actor Lee Min Ho and Joo Won will start their military service in May.
Lee Min Ho will start his service on May 12 in Gangnam District office as a civil servant. His agency said, “According to the regulation from the administration office, he will start his alternative service first, and then after his main service schedule has been set, he will start his main service as a civil servant immediately. Lee Min Ho currently does not have any schedule; he’s resting until May 12 .”
In 2006, Lee Min Ho had a fatal car accident which also involved another actor, Jung Il Woo. The accident hurt his thighs and ankle, among other things. Due to his history, the military administration assigned the actor to be a civil servant instead of an active soldier. Jung Il Woo is also undergoing his conscription as a public service right now.
Other than Lee Min Ho, Joo Won will also have to part with his fans for some time soon. Joo Won will start his military service on May 16. Despite enlisting himself as active police officer at first, Joo Won had to delay his conscription as his service call was released when he was filming a drama. As a consequence, the actor will serve as a national defense officer instead.
Meanwhile, actor Seo In Guk, who had to be taken home after only undergoing his military service for 4 days, will have his service pronouncement on April 17. The actor had actually started his service on March 31, but had to be taken home 4 days later after suffering from ankle injury.
This year, a lot of male stars are going to enlist in the military, including Ji Chang Wook, Jang Geun Suk, Kim Soo Hyun, Ok Taecyeon 2PM, Lim Seul Ong 2AM, Kyuhyun Super Junior, and Im Si Wan.
