The Competition Between the Three Couples in Wed-Thu Slot, Who Will Be the Winner?

MBC and SBS have started the first episode of their latest Wednesday-Thursday drama, ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’ and ‘Suspicious Partner’. They will face the previous couple in KBS2 TV drama ‘Queen of Mystery’.

The winner in this first round is ‘Ruler’. On May 12th, based on Nielsen Korea’s calculations, episode 3 and 4 of ‘Ruler’ managed to obtain 10.5% and 12.6% viewers rating. One episode of ‘Ruler’ is about 30 minutes and each time it airs, it includes two episodes at a time. On the same day, Queen of Mystery recorded a 9.2% rating and ‘Suspicious Partner’ recorded 7.2%.

The power of ‘Ruler’ is to leave the audience curious about what will happen next. ‘Ruler’ tells the love story of Crown Prince Joseon who must fight against a dark organization to maintain his power.

Another strength of this drama is the acting quality of the main casts. Child actor Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun finally reunited. In addition, Infinite L’s acting in this drama also gets a positive response from the public.

Then ‘romantic-comedy’ and ‘mystery genre’, who will be the winner?

SBS released a romantic-comedy drama titled ‘Suspicious Partner’. Telling the story of prosecutor No Ji Wook (Ji Chang Wook) and an intern named Eun Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun) who got involved a mysterious event and slowly started falling for each other.

In addition to the ‘romantic-comedy’, the drama features a mystery-thriller story. Nam Ji Hyun explains, “For an hour of the airtime, the audience can feel the enjoyable exciting energy”.

The arrival of ‘Ruler’ and ‘Suspicious Partner’ can not be taken lightly by KBS ‘Queen of Mystery’. The drama premiered on 5 April, now only has 6 episodes left. The drama, which tells the story of housewife Seol Ok (Choi Kang Hee) and veteran detective Wan Seung (Kwon Sang Woo) is full of their quarrels and their ridiculous attitudes, has achieved a 10% rating.
