Kim So Hyun’s Role As the Female Lead in ‘Ruler’ Is Being Questioned?
Kim So Hyun, the lead actress in this love line received a little complaint from the viewers. On May 31, in MBC ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’ episode 13 and 14 were centered on the romance between Han Ga Eun (Kim So Hyun), Lee Seon (L), and Crown Prince Lee Seon (Yoo Seung Ho ).
Lee Seon who was originally the crown prince but now had become a leader, found out that Pyunsoo bought copper and appeared to prevent it.
Lee Seon was trying to capture Kim Woo Jae, but Kim Hwa Goon broke her promise to Lee Seon to help him and secretly freed her father. After Kim Hwa Goon let his father Kim Woo Jae to escape, she scraped the sword into her arm until it bleeds. The crown prince who was about to chase him then stopped and saw Hwa Goon’s wound and tried to treat her. Hwa Goon cried again because she had betrayed Lee Seon.
Han Ga Eun (Kim So Hyun) remembered the saying, “If you want to clear your father’s name, find the jar” and she went to the royal greenhouse. Lee Seon who had now become a puppet and had to wear his mask saw Han Ga Eun and pretended not to know her and saved Ga Eun.
At the end of the episode, the crown prince was worried after learning there was a call to court Ga Eun after receiving a call from the priest. Lee Seon returned to meet Han Ga Eun, and asked Ga Eun to work in the greenhouse to plant herbs and took care of him. Han Ga Eun accepted the task so she could find the jar and met Lee Seon the crown prince. Lee Seon and Crown Prince Lee Seon’s feelings to Han Ga Eun are getting deep, their reunion served as the center of their love line.
However, in fact, this drama doesn’t show much about Han Ga Eun’s feelings. In Waekwan, crown prince Lee Seon was seen involved in a one-sided love and the conflict with Kim Hwa Goon is deeper. When Lee Seon and Crown Prince Lee Seon are showing their pain over their feelings toward Ga Eun, Ga Eun’s own emotions aren’t depicted as deep.
Han Ga Eun as the center of the love story in the end shows that this ironic situation is not successful. Through various newsletters, many viewers are giving comments such as, “Kim So Hyun is the female lead, but why she doesn’t appear much”, “I want to focus on Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun”, “They’ve met again, can she at least appear longer?”.
