Gong Yoo Shows His Interest in Hong Kong
Before carrying out the fan meeting in Hong Kong on May 6th, Gong Yoo held a press conference that attracted Chinese reporters interest, including Sina.com.
When asked about which Hong Kong movie that he liked the most, Gong Yoo answered, “Before I debuted as an actor, I watched Chow Yun Fat and Andy Lau’s movies”. He then added, “I enjoyed ‘Internal Affairs’ series”.
Gong Yoo was also asked to choose between Leung Chiu Wai and Andy Law. He replied, “I like Tony Leung more. If there’s a good movie like ‘Lust Caution’ I’m going to consider it”, and brought laughter to the audience.
Gong Yoo also greeted the media and his fans using Cantonese, “Hello, I’m Gong Yoo”. Then, he expressed his feelings about Baeksang Arts Award, “I received a lot of good works and I’m really happy to be able to obtain such a big award. I’m also happy that the screenwriter of ‘Goblin’, Kim Eun Suk, also received the award”.
Gong Yoo gave a comment about his plan to go to Hong Kong on holiday, “I want to be free on my next holiday in Hong Kong and try the public transportation. My arrival this time is known by many fans, I need to be more careful next time”, said him.
The Chinese media also said, “Chow Yun Fat often uses public transportation such as Subway”. Then Gong Yoo enthusiastically replied, “Will I be able to meet Chow Yun Fat?”.
