tvN Moves its Friday-Saturday Drama Slot to Saturday-Sunday
On May 17th, tvN announced, “Our Friday-Saturday drama slot will be moved into Saturday-Sunday slot. We also plan to add a drama slot on Wednesday-Thursday.”
TvN itself is a cable TV channel that has great fame through successful Friday-Saturday dramas, such as’ Misaeng ‘,’ Reply Series’, ‘Signal’, and Goblin ‘. But lately, the acquisition of Friday-Saturday dramas’ viewer rating is not satisfactory, with what happened to ‘Tomorrow With You’ and ‘Chicago Typewriter’, which do not show a worthwhile result.
In addition to the rating influence, tvN reported that viewers of Friday-Saturday shows prefer variety shows rather than dramas. Therefore, tvN decided to move the drama slot of ‘Secret Forest’, which is going to replacee ‘Chicago Typewriter’, into a Saturday-Sunday drama. ‘Secret Forest’ is scheduled to premiere on 10 June.
Not only that, tvN will include a Wednesday-Thursday drama slot starting from next July. With this, tvN will have dramas in Monday-Tuesday, Wednesday-Thursday, then Saturday-Sunday slots.
