‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’: 5 Years After the Former King Died… What Have Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun Become?
In the episode of MBC’s drama ‘Ruler’ which was aired on May 24th, Lee Sun (Kim Myung Soo) has taken the throne for 5 years.
On the other hand, Prince Seon (Yoo Seung Ho) does not feel frustrated about his captured throne. He wants to save Joseon people from Pyunsoo, therefore, he asks Woo Bo if there is any way to fight Daemok.
Woo Bo’s answer was that Prince Seon has to establish great relationship with merchants to secure the best information regarding Joseon’s distribution network. Thus, Lee Seon lives with merchants and learns about the life of the organization as well as the world of merchants.
The merchant’s life is tough, but Lee Seon accepts and goes through it without complaining. After five years, Lee Seon has managed to be the Chief Peddler.
Meanwhile, Ga Eun (Kim So Hyun) still misses both Seon, whom she has not met for five years. Ga Eun is unaware that Lee Seon has became king of Joseon.
As Queen Seon Deok (Kim Sun Kyung) has officially given Lee Seon the King’s stamp, he is now reborn as the perfect king. In the middle of this, Ga Eun and the villagers are ushered into a corner by Yang Soo Chung (Bureau of Water Supply)’s tyrannical government. Ga Eun and her folks, who must prepare a large sum of money to repay their debt, are frustrated because they should collect the debt by the 15th day of the month.
Ga Eun then finds out about “leader of merchants” who always stands on the side of the weak. The only things that this leader requires are trust and respect. Ga Eun said, “I will meet the leader,”. Disguising herself as a male peddler, Ga Eun never stops even though she feels pain from her tearing legs.
