The Competition Between Historical Dramas: ‘Ruler’, ‘My Sassy Girl’, ‘Seven Days Queen’
Three big channels will fight with their own respective historical dramas. MBC ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’ has already won. SBS’s ‘My Sassy Girl’ and KBS2 ‘Seven Days Queen’ drama will air soon. The competition between the historical dramas on TV will be more fierce.
‘Ruler’ Master of Rating
‘Ruler’ grows really fast in term of rating. Its rating has reached more than 13% and is in a superior position. Ruler is a drama about Pyeonsoo Hwe organisation who gained by seizing water on the Korean Peninsula and the crown prince Lee Seon (Yoo Seung Ho) who sought to save it. Lee Seon has absolute power as a king, but lives in a mask without knowing the reason. Lee Seon shows a strong charisma as a king, at the same time he shows a warm love story with Han Ga Eun (Kim So Hyun). Bromance with Kim Myung Soo (L) has also attracted attention.
‘My Sassy Girl’ Incredible charm
Will Joo Won and Oh Yeon Seo ‘My Sassy Girl’ get beyond the movie’s success? ‘My Sassy Girl’ is a historical drama that tells the romance of Kyun Woo (Joo Won) a man who has the best charms in Joseon and Princess Hye Myung (Oh Yeon Seo). This is a remake of the movie starring Cha Tae Hyun and Jeon Ji Hyun. This is Kim Joo Won’s first attempt to play in a romantic comedy as well as historical drama. His presence along with Oh Yeon Seo is highly anticipated. The drama is expected to be a complete gift and is accompanied by a political element and a sweet love story.
Don’t forget the ‘Seven Days Queen’
The historical drama queen, Park Min Young, returns through a romantic historical drama titled ‘Seven Days Queen’. ‘Seven Days Queen’ tells the love story of Queen Dan Kyung who served as the queen of Joseon for 7 days, the shortest period in history along with King Joongjong. Park Min Young plays the role of a woman filled with an emptiness named Queen Dan Kyung and Shin Chae Kyung. The presence of Yeon Woo Jin and Lee Dong Gun will deepen the story of the drama. Yeon Woo Jin’s transformation that usually plays in a romantic comedy is worth to look at too. Yeon Woo Jin’s transformation as King Joseon will soon can be witnessed on the screen.
