Who Will Realize Their Feelings First in ‘Fight for My Way’, Park Seo Joon or Kim Ji Won?
In KBS’s new KBS drama titled ‘Fight for My Way’, Choi Ae Ra (Kim Ji Won) and Go Dong Man (Park Seo Joon) are a pair of 20-year-olds who have been friends for a long time. In a story where the relationship of two adults are developing from being friends, having an interest in each other, then become lovers, the attention of the audience are mostly put on who will realize their feelings first.
When Ae Ra asks Dong Man to stroke her hair as usual, sometimes Dong Man looks reluctant. He just responded to Ae Ra’s request by doing headlock. However, when they are in a public place and Dong Man realizes that many men glance at Ae Ra’s beautiful feet, Dong Man immediately tells Ae Ra to switch positions with him. When he hears Ae Ra’s sad voice on the phone, without further ado Dong Man asks, “Where are you?” Then run to where Ae Ra is. Dong Man’s attitude makes him looks more like a boyfriend than just a guy friend.
On the other hand, in episode 1, Ae Ra’s boyfriend Kim Moo Gi broke up their relationship, even though Ae Ra has done a lot to help Moo Gi, including giving money. Ae Ra felt ashamed and humiliated. She cried, but not for a long time. Ae Ra was shocked by Dong-man’s attitude when he tried to cheer Ae Ra by rubbing her head. Inevitably, Ae Ra’s face flushed, she also tried to avoid Dong Man’s eyes while asking, “What are you doing?”. Some viewers predict that Ae Ra is the one who will realize her feelings first.
There is an opinion that says, since Dong Man and Ae Ra have been together since childhood, they would never think ‘Is this love?’. On the other hand, there is also the opinion that Dong Man and Ae Ra are actually already aware of their feelings for each other, but they hide it because they do not want to ruin their long-established friendship.
‘Fight for My Way’ has stolen the attention of Korean drama audiences with stories about Dong Man and Ae Ra who are not aware of each other’s feelings in just two episodes.
