When Shin Chae Kyung was witnessing the death of his parents, Lee Yeok, wearing a yongpo, summoned Shin Chae Kyung’s name. In the next scene, the Queen shows up and pulls Lee Yeok. She takes out a sword while saying “I should kill you” with a trembling voice. The screen is filled with intense intros with both’s vibrant expressions and psychology.

The story then goes back to seven years ago, to the introduction of the infamous Joseon King Lee Yong (Lee Dong Gun), then to the first encounter between Shin Chae Kyung and Lee Yeok when they were children.

Shin Chae Kyung is the daughter of Lee Yong’s right-hand man called Shin Soo Geun, but for some reasons, she grew up in the countryside. Then, the girl went to Hanyang. Meanwhile, the younger stepbrother of the King, Lee Yeok, is a man who wholeheartedly respected his brother. Lee Yong planned to marry off the two, who did not know the plan.Unexpectedly, Chae Kyung and Lee Yeok met on the street.

The romance and confrontation between brothers Lee Yong and Lee Yeok seems to be a big issue or a major topic in ‘Seven Days Queen’. In the first episode, the fierce conflict between the two brothers has attracted attention. Before Lee Yong and Lee Yeok’s father, the previous King died, he said “When the prince of Jin Sung (Lee Yeok) has grown up, he must become king and hold the throne.” Lee Yong, who does not feel the love of his father and mother, does not want to give up his ‘throne’ to his step-brother.

However, Lee Yong also can not kill his stepbrother. Lee Yeok always obeyed what his stepbrother says even though Lee Yong often acts viciously toward him. When it got to the point where Lee Yong directs his sword to his brother’s face, Lee Yeok feels disapponted to realize that he has always been wrong about his step-brother. In the end, this drama gave anticipation of what will happen when both of them face a situation in which they have to turn thier knives toward each other.
