In tvN Friday-Saturday drama “Goblin”, which was broadcasted on December 30th, Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) and Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) each get informed about their future from the Grim Reaper (Lee Dong Wook) and Birth Grandmother(Lee El).
The Grim Reaper reveals the truth about Kim Shin’s sword to Ji Eun Tak. She finds out that if the sword is pulled out from Kim Shin, he will eventually die. However, if the sword is kept is Kim Shin, he will continue his immortality.
Ji Eun Tak finds it hard to accept the destiny lying upon her and Kim Shin, and leaves Kim Shin’s house. Kim Shin, after finding out that Ji Eun Tak had left the house, roams around to search for her. During searching for Ji Eun Tak, Kim Shin meets Sunny (Yoo In Na), who used to be his sister in his past life.
Kim Shin eventually finds Ji Eun Tak at a ski resort. Kim Shin pleads to Ji Eun Tak by saying that, “Please pull out the sword from my heart. It is my favor.” However, Ji Eun Tak refuses Kim Shin’s request by simply saying “No”. She also says that, “I will continue to run away from you from now on”. However, just as the Birth Grandmother had warned, the death of Kim Shin approaches Ji Eun Tak closer.
In the episode, the identity of the cabbage butterfly is implied to be Yoo Duk Wha (Yook Sung Jae). Fans are curious about whether the future of Kim Shin and Ji Eun Tak will end up being sad or not.
