This comic tells of a girl named So A who must be sacrificed to be the bride of the Water God, Ha Baek, in order for the rain to fall down. The story continues with Ha Baek and So A’s love story in a country that needs water.

The drama ‘Bride of the Water God 2017’ is a ‘spin-off’ of the original work. Spin-off refers to a work and takes on the character or setting of the existing creation but creates a new story. In the original work, the story is set in a colossal background, but the drama will show the present and the past. The drama production team conveyed, “The genre of ‘Bride of the Water God 2017’ will be a fantasy romance between ‘Ha Baek’, the water god who came down to earth and transformed into a human, and ‘So A’, a doctor.”

Shin Se Kyung plays So A, while Nam Joo Hyuk plays Ha Baek. Member of idol group f(x), Krystal, also act in this drama. The drama will be aired every Monday and Tuesday at 10.50 pm KST.
