Song Joong Ki, the Actor who’s Always Successful in All of His Works
Graduated from Sungkyunkwan University, Song Joong Ki initially dreamed of becoming a news reporter, but now has grown to become one of Korean top actor and has always achieved success in every work he plays.
Song Joong Ki began to be recognized by the public through SBS’s ‘Will It Snow for Christmas?’, ‘Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors’ and ‘Heart Paws 2’. Song Joong Ki began to show his potential as a big star after two years of debuting.
The work that made him rose to stardom was the KBS 2TV drama ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ in 2010. Playing as Ku Yung Ha, he was able to attract the hearts of women. After that, he proved herself as a flower boy actor through SBS drama ‘Tree With Deep Roots’.
Song Joong Ki successfully made his own syndrome when he was playing Kang Ma Roo in the drama ‘The Innocent Man’ before undergoing military service. In addition, the movie ‘A Werewolf Boy’ also achieved similar success. He became one of the most successful actors in his 20s.
Song Joong Ki’s career after completing his military service proved to be even more brilliant. Through Kim Eun Sook’s ‘Descendant of the Sun’ drama, Song Joong Ki incised a new history in Korean drama and spread a new syndrome.
Song Joong Ki won the title Asia’s best Hallyu Star through the drama. The success even spread to Thailand, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other Asian countries. This time, Song Joong Ki’s syndrome is expected to return due to ‘Battleship Island’, a movie which will soon be released in July. The film is directed by Ryoo Seung Wan and starring Song Joong Ki along with Hwang Jung Min and So Ji Sub. Song Joong Ki himself will play a soldier named Park Moo Young, who infiltrated the Japanese ship to save the Koreans.
Prior to that, he acted as captain Yoo Shi Jin in the drama ‘Descendant of the Sun’. In ‘Battleship Island’, he portrays a different kind of soldier. Song Joong Ki who will return to the big screen after five years has been receiving the audience’s attention through his character as Park Moo Young.
