Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun Faced The Second Crisis in ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’
Episode 23 and 24 of MBC ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’ which airs on June 15 featured Han Ga Eun (Kim So Hyun) who is in a crisis situation.
In this episode, Crown Prince Seon (Yoo Seung Ho) comes to see the Queen (Kim Sung Kyung). Lee Seon said to the Queen Mother, “Because of Daemok (Heo Joon Ho), I drowned and almost died. We must work together to defeat Dae Mok”.
On the other hand, Mae Chang who knows that the Queen Mother continues to command Ga Eun to do dangerous things gives an advice to Ga Eun. “How many more times will you risk your life for Queen Mother? Do not do anything stupid. You could lose your life”. Mae Chang is the one who actually exchanged the bamboo pot stolen by Ga Eun with an empty bamboo pot.
Not taking a pill, Lee Sun had a crisis that made him desperate. He also blamed the crown prince. To Ga Eun, he said, “I love you,” but Han Ga Eun rejected his statement directly. Then Lee Seon asked, “Do you love someone? That guy is a merchant (Yoo Seung Ho), is not he? Why do you love him? Isn’t the King like me more worthy of being with you?” Han Ga Eun replied “Me and him .. We have the same dream. That’s enough for me”.
To save Lee Sun, the Crown Prince comes to Pyunsohee’s headquarters to steal the drug, but there, he meets Kim Hwa Goon. The Crown Prince was shocked and ran away when he heard Daemok’s voice. Knowing that the merchant came to the headquarters, Daemok became angry. “How dare he come to Daemok’s house? I praise your courage!”. Hwa Goon gave him the opium pills he needed. Arriving at the palace, Crown Prince also gave the drug to Lee Seon.
On the day of the queen selection examination, the Crown Prince who served as the supervisor was surprised to see Han Ga Eun become one of the candidates.
Then, the terrible events that put Han Ga Eun in a crisis situation suddenly happened. When Ga Eun is running a tea-making exam, the Queen Mother and the other candidates lose consciousness after drinking it. Apparently, someone has poisoned the tea that they used in the exam. Panicked, Ga Eun wants to report the incident immediately, but Mae Chang prevents her, “You have to drink this tea too. If only you were not poisoned, people would think you were the culprit”. Moments later, Mae Chang told the Crown Prince that someone had poisoned the tea, which made the Crown Prince rush into the room and finds that Ga Eun had lost consciousness.
After the Crown Prince saved Lee Seon from the crisis, he is now confronted by a crisis involving Han Ga Eun. Viewers were made curious about how the continuation of the love story of the three main characters of this drama.
