So Ji Sub and Song Joong Ki Make A Comeback Through ‘Battleship Island’
After 5 years actor So Ji Sub and Song Joong Ki will return to the big screen through the movie ‘Battleship Island’.
In 2012 after the release of the film ‘A Company Man’ and ‘A Werewolf Boy’ we can see So Ji Sub and Song Joong Ki again on the big screen. Both will play a role in Ryu Seung Wan’s latest work, ‘Battleship Island’, and return after 5 years. So Ji Sub and Song Joong Ki do believe in director Ryu Seung Wan, but the audience will be the one who determines the outcome of ‘Battleship Island’.
‘Battleship Island’ is a film that tells the history of the Korean people who tried to escape after being forced to work by the Japanese imperialism on an island in Japan. So Ji Sub plays as the best Kyungsung fighter named ‘Choi Cil Sung’, while Song Joong Ki plays the role of ‘Park Moo Young’, a soldier who infiltrated the island.
“I want to work with director Ryu Seung Wan, even I’ve decided to play before seeing the scenario. After I read the scenario, it was incredible. Makes me feel a little pressured. Whether I can bring it well, if I can express his character correctly, I’m a little confused. But thanks to the fine hand of director Ryu Seung Wan I think I’m able to do it”, said So Ji Sub. He also added, “the mental suffering in the past is more difficult than physical suffering. My heart feels heavy. I hope to have a work that will stay for a long time in my heart”.
“I want to go back to the movie because it does not look good. Therefore ‘Battleship Island’ is very meaningful to me. I have the shortest acting experiences. Engaging in a big movie like ‘Battleship Island’, working with the best actors and staffs gave me a valuable experience. Everyone deserves a compliment”, Song Joong Ki said. “As one of the Koreans, I feel ashamed not knowing this history. I hope you understand that I sincerely try to express the pain as much as I can into this film”, Song Joong Ki said showing his feelings.
‘Battleship Island’ became the choice of So Ji Sub and Song Joong Ki after appearing on the big screen in 2012 ago. What kind of movie and acting that will be shown by the two actors in ‘Battleship Island’ will be the question that the audience will answer real soon. This movie is expected to be released in July.
