Kim Soo Ahn Compares Her Two “Fathers”, Hwang Jung Min and Gong Yoo
Actress Kim Soo Ahn expressed her opinion on Hwang Jung Min, who plays as her father in the movie ‘Battleship Island’.
On June 15th at 11 AM KST, a press conference for the film ‘Battleship Island’ was held at Yongsan National Museum of Korea in Seoul and was attended by director Ryoo Seung Wan, Hwang Jung Min, Kim Soo Ahn, So Ji Sub, Lee Jung Hyun, and Song Jung Ki.
‘Battleship Island’ is a film depicting the story of the Korean people trying to escape from a warship during the Japanese colonial period.
Kim Soo Ahn gets asked about the difference between Gong Yoo (who played as her father in the movie ‘Train to Busan’ last year) and Hwang Jung Min, then she replied, “Gong Yoo has a handsome face, while Hwang Jung Min has a good personality. Although from the outside he looks like a cold person, in fact, he is a very warm person”.
Kim Soo Ahn also added, “When I received the script, I was so curious that I learned about it from history books. ‘Battleship Island’ is a painful place. The director explains my role well so I can understand it well too. I promise to work as hard as the friends in history”
The film ‘Battleship Island’ will be released in July 2017.
