‘Battleship Island’ Releases Characters’ Individual Posters
The meeting of South Korean representative actors Hwang Jung Min, So Ji Sub, Song Joong Ki and Lee Jung Hyun in the movie ‘Battleship Island’ is regarded as one of the most anticipated works of 2017. Recently, the movie released individual posters of the main characters in the movie.
In the character posters of ‘Battleship Island’ show the image of Korean people who want to escape from the Hashima island. The first character poster that was released was of Lee Kang Ok, played by Hwang Jung Min, who came to the island along with his daughter. The line in his poster reads “Please Get My Daughter So Hee Out of Here”. Hwang Jung Min is pictured holding her daughter when he was runing away, expressing his feelings as a father who wants to protect his daughter.
In So Ji Sub’s poster who plays ‘Choi Cil Sung’, the best Korean hard fighter who has a soft heart, there is the words: “We all look after the ship so that we can get everyone aboard the ship.” He shows a strong and powerful expression without a doubt. Choi Cil Sung, who is directing his pistol, not only expresses the tension on the run but also stimulates the hope of help for the Korean people who are escaping.
Song Joong Ki plays the role of ‘Park Moo Young’, a member of the army of independence who entered the military after receiving a mission. His character poster has attracted attention with a look that seemed to express an emergency. The line in his poster reads, “I’ll be out, with all the Joseon people here”, hinting at the great responsibility of leading the Korean people.
The film ‘Battleship Island’ is the newest masterpiece of director Ryu Seung Wan who wants to reveal the hidden story from the Japanese colonization era, in which many Korean people were forced to work on Hashima island. The film will be the most anticipated work in 2017 as it comes with a strong ranks of players.
