Super Junior Teared Up for Performing with Only 4 Members at SM TOWN

Idol group Super Junior finally performed their songs on stage as a group after a long time.

On July 8th, “SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR VI in SEOUL” was held at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

On that day, Super Junior performed their hit songs such as ‘Sorry Sorry’ and ‘Bonamana’. However, many members were absent. There were only four members on stage, including Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, and Kim Heechul.

One member, Kangin, is still in his self-reflection period after DUI controversy, while Sungmin could not appear due to fans’ boycott. Choi Siwon, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, and Ryeowook are still undergoing their military service.

Kim Heechul said, “Actually, even though we’re thankful that we could perform with 4 members, I think it’s still unfortunate that we could not be complete.” Yesung also added, “This is a new feeling for me,” He expressed his gratitude to fans but also showed remorse.

SM TOWN, which was started in 2008, has been held in major cities around the world including Seoul, New York, LA, Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok and Singapore.

The next stops for the tour will take place at Osaka Kyocera Dome on July 15 and 16, and Tokyo Dome on July 27 and 28.
