Yeo Jin Goo and Lee Yeon Hee are Reunited After 12 Years in ‘Reunited Worlds’
On July 19th, SBS ‘Reunited Worlds’ aired its first episode, in which its main character, Sung Hae Sung (Yeo Jin Goo), whom everyone thought to be dead, returned to life 12 years later.
In the beginning, the drama showed how Sung Hae Sung, a high school senior, died in the summer when he was only 19 years old. After 12 years had passed, Jung Jung Won (Lee Yeon Hee), Hae Sung’s school mate and first love, had grown up to be an assistant chef. Cha Min Joon (Ahn Jae Hyun) owner and main chef of the restaurant where Jung Won works, liked Jung Won, but even after years, Jung Won still could not stop thinking about Hae Sung.
Hae Sung, whom everyone known to have long died, apparently returned to life in 2017. Along with a strange energy coming from the sky, Hae Sung suddenly woke up on a school roof. He felt confused. “What is this? Why has the time passed for 12 years?” Haesung immediately looked for his family.
But the place where he used lived had alredy been occupied by other people. The current homeowner thought that Hae Sung was a thief and started to hit him, but Hae Sung suddenly gained a strong energy, which made the owner of the house got thrown away when Hae Sung pushed him. Incidentally, Jung Won who was near the area saw Hae Sung, but as her vision was clouded by a passing train, Jung Won could not confirm it. Jung Won turned and laughed to herself, “Why do you think dead people can be here?”
Meanwhile, Shin Ho Bang (Lee Si Eon), Hae Sung’s playmate at school who had become a policeman now, was surprised to see Hae Sung. Hae Sung asked him about Jung Won, then Ho Bang asked Hae Sung, “Did you remember anything about the incident?”
The story went back to 12 years ago. While they were still in school, Hae Sung and Jung Won had a bicycle date and spent their time together. Jung Won was worried about Hae Sung, who wanted to give up going to college because of his family’s situation. Hae Sung also told Jung Won about his dream, “I’ll be the owner of a famous restaurant.”
One night, Hae Sung went to school because Jung Won asked for help to find her wallet, which was left in the art room. At school, Hae Sung saw a friend who was bleeding. Hae Sung hurried to the hospital with his bike in order to call an ambulance. Unfortunately, in the middle of the process, Hae Sung was hit by a car.
Back to 2017, near a train track, Hae Sung, who looked exactly the same as he was twelve years ago, met Jung Won who was now already 31 years old.
