Choi Min Soo is Looking for His Daughter in ‘Man Who Dies to Live’
In the first episode of ‘The Man Who Dies To Live’ which premiered on July 19th, Saeed Faad Ali (Choi Min Soo) was looking for his daughter.
Faad lived in a mansion, enjoying life as an oil conglomerate. The king ordered him to marry his daughter in a month. But Faad rejected the marriage and claimed that there were some people who were jealous and wanted to ruin the Kingdom of Bodantia. To avoid the marriage, Faad said he had a daughter in Korea. “I will give you 1 month to bring your daughter here, otherwise, all your wealth will be confiscated by the government, including the mansion that you currently occupy.” said the king. Eventually, Faad chose to return to Korea. On the plane to Korea, Faad ensured that he had a daughter named Lee Ji Young who was now 35 years old.
Lee Ji Young A (Kang Ye Won) is a strong middle-aged woman who lived in Korea. She found it difficult to request a vacation to her husband, Kang Ho Rim (Shin Sung Rok), so when Lee Ji Young A was finally granted the vacation, she was very happy. However, the vacation was suddenly canceled because of a change in schedule. Lee Ji Young A asked to meet the travel guide. Kang Ho Rim was embarrassed to see his wife’s behavior. But his wife really looked miserable as she found out that her husband was having an affair with another woman with the same name, Lee Ji Young (Lee So Yeon). Faad, who accidentally witnessed the whole feud between Kang Ho Rim and his wife, felt sad.
Faad’s Manager (Jo Tae Kwan) asked a detective to investigate Lee Ji Young A. But the detective office sent Lee Ji Young B’s data as Lee Ji Young A, so Faad wrongly thought that Lee Ji Young B was his daughter. Kang Ho Rim and Lee Ji Young B continued their relationship, while Lee Ji Young A, who did not know anything, lived in her mother-in-law’s house. Lee Ji Young A was also determined to have her revenge to his father, who had abandoned her and her mother.
Meanwhile, before Faad met his daughter, he went to the bank where Kang Ho Rin worked. To Ho Rin, he said, “I’m your father in law,” surprising Ho Rin.
