‘Train to Busan’, Japanese Audience Give Positive Responses

Japanese audience praise towards the movie ‘Train to Busan’ keeps on coming.

‘Train to Busan’ was ranked 1st on the first day of the ‘Opening Day Satisfaction Survey’ for the film release in Japan on September 1st and 2nd, followed by an average of 4.1 or higher on various film sites in Japan. Thanks to this ranking, eiga (dot) com a Japanese movie ranked third from other top films. In some theaters, the movie always sold-out.

Respondents said, “There is a feeling of satisfaction in the thrilling development of zombies floating like floods,” and “Zombies who chase after their mouths have been destroyed and want to escape.” This is a response from audiences satisfied with its thrilling developments. “The human dramatic element is interesting. It has great emotion and trembling,” and ” I think I want to be a man like that, It’s a rotten story, I’m crying because the main character thinks of his daughter a lot,” others said giving impressive evaluations.

Many people are interested in whether a good response from Japanese movie fans to ‘Train to Busan’ will lead to the movie featured as a blockbuster movie.

‘Train to Busan’ premiered in Japan on April 1st, with a total of 44 cities and 148 screens under the title ‘Shinkansen (New Infection) Final Express’. It has surpassed 10 million viewers in Korea and has been a hit in Asia including Hong Kong and Taiwan.
