K-Dramas Starring Kim Soo Hyun

Kim Soo Hyun was born on February 16th, 1988. He is already cute and adorable since he was young, that’s why he received so much love from his parents. Moreover, Kim Soo Hyun is the only child in his family. The actor boasted his career in 2003 by starring in the musical drama ‘Grease’. After that, various offers to play dramas and movies continue to appear. Among them are ‘Dream High’ and ‘My Love From The Star’. Kim Soo Hyun raised his popularity drastically through both dramas, and he has become of the most popular actors in Korea.

The new employee named Baek Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun) is a new, careless and awkward figure. Ra Joon Mo (Cha Tae Hyun) is a senior producer who leads a variety show called ‘2 Days 1 Night ‘.

However, the show is facing a major problem and threatened will soon be stopped airing. This is because of the continuing declining rating and the numerous warnings from the television broadcasting commission due to some problems during the airing. Conflict becomes more complicated when Seung Chan is chosen to join Joon Mo’s 2 days 1 Night team. Seung Chan starts putting his heart on the senior producer who leads a music broadcast named, Tak Ye Jin (Gong Hyo Jin). Through Joon Mo and Ye Jin, Seung Chan starts learning to become a true producer. IU plays the role of Candy, a singer who is interested in Seung Chan. Due to the background of the TV station, many of the top stars were also present as a cameo. An example of the top stars is Lee Seung Gi.

2. My Love From the Star

My Love From Star is a Korean romantic comedy drama that has a fantasy element as its main theme. This drama story begins with the presence of a flying saucer that came to Earth in 1609 in the era of the Joseon empire, and for some reason one of the creatures from outer space named Do Min Joon saved a girl from an accident. Do Min Joon, who is an extraterrestrial has different abilities with humans in general, including teleportation power, moving material, super hearing and  eyesight ability, quick self-healing. stop the temporary time, see the future and his physical is not aging. After rescuing a girl in the Josean era, Do Min Joon played by Kim Soo Hyun has been on earth for 400 years since the incident. And now he’s waiting for a comet that will reach the earth in a 3-month period, a comet that has been awaited so far so that he can return to where he came from. And at the beginning of the episode we will be directly introduced by the figure of a woman who works as a Top Korean artist, Cheon Seong Yi played by Jun Ji Hyun / Gianna Jun.

3. The Moon That Embrace the Sun

The drama is one of the most popular dramas taking elements In the era of the Kingdom of Joseon. ‘The Moon That Embraces the Sun’  was first released on MBC with 20 episodes. Telling about Lee Hwon’s, a Joseon fictional king, secret love story  with Wool a female shaman. Wool is the daughter of Heo Yeon Woo, a nobleman who won the heart of the crown prince “Hwon”.

Heo Yeon Woo, a thirteen-year-old girl, was chosen to be Crown Princess of Joseon. The Queen Mother got jealous and planned a cruel plan to torture her secretly and ordered several people to kill her instantly. But with the help of powerful magic, Yeon Woo managed to escape, but she lost her memory. Everyone had believed that she was dead, including Crown Prince Hwon thought so.

4. Dream High

The KBS drama starring Suzy, Taecyeon, Woo Young, IU, Kim Soo Hyun, and Eun Jung was aired in 2011. Dream High tells about six students at Kirin Art High School who work hard to achieve their dream becoming a star in the Korean music industry. During their studies, students learn how to develop their voices, write songs, act, and dance while also experience personal growth. Each student has their own strenghts and weaknesses, but with the support and guidance of each other, they strive to make a debut on stage.
